The Familial Ovarian Cancer Registry is a database and scientific repositoryof genetic samples
and lifestyle data of families who have a history of ovarian cancer.
Often called “the silent killer” because of its limited early warning symptoms, ovarian cancer is typically only diagnosed after it is too late—when the disease has already spread beyond the ovaries. Annually, over 225,000 new cases of ovarian cancer are diagnosed globally, and 125,000 women needlessly die of the disease each year.
Our mission is to collect and share DNA and lifestyle data from families impacted by ovarian cancer with some of the world’s top scientists to support and expand critically needed ovarian cancer research.
By becoming a Familial OCR participant, affiliate, donor or advocate,, you and your family can provide the greatest hope and help to change the course of ovarian cancer history.
